The International Air Transport Forum (IATF-2012) took part in Ulyanovsk on August 23 – 25. Within the framework of the forum there were held discussions on Russian aviation problems and were suggested ways of their solving.
Under the (IATF-2012) there took place the light aviation forum. During the forum there were analyzed conditions of Russian general — purpose aviation, its status, regulation rules and laws, technique supply and material base. In comparison to Europe and the USA, Russian general — purpose aviation is in the primordial condition. Participants of the forum made suggestions how to shorten the backlog and to attract financial, material and intellectual asset for light aviation progress. By the end of the forum there was adopted the resolution.
One of the hangars of „Vostochnyi” airport was used for exposition, where aviation enterprises were represented.
Design Bureau „Laros” was represented by chief designer Vladimir Lapshin, project engineer Aleksandr Maslak and engineer Andrey Kapustin.
The booth of the DB included the broadsheet with aircraft „Laros – 100” descriptions and the scale model of aircraft. Participants of the events and visitors have shown the interest in usage of the „Laros – 100” as a training aircraft and plane for flying clubs.
There were also made proposals regarding the serial production of the aircraft in Dubna city, at free zone next to Ulyanovsk, etc.
The airshow with participation of aerobatics teams took place at „Vostochnyi” airport on August 25.
